Founder and Principal
Collaboration, creative problem solving, and communication have always
played an invaluable role throughout my life and my career as a
manager and communicator. As a consultant and advisor, I share this
expertise with clients in the context of my own engagement in self
definition and personal strategy development, life and career planning, and
broad professional and business functional management knowledge and
experience.
. My corporate experience includes twelve years with IBM Corporation in
partner relationship management, business development, and marketing
positions; five years at Ogden Services Corporation as Director of
Marketing Services; two years initiating startup programs for marketing
planning, marketing communications, and other staff functions at Pan Am
World Services, Inc. and Bausch & Lomb Incorporated; and, ten years with
Xerox Corporation in management and key individual contributor positions
including strategic planning, financial planning & analysis, pricing, and
sales operations.
My education includes an undergraduate degree in Behavioral Psychology from Brown University where I graduated magna cum laude with high honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Sigma Xi. I continued with graduate study in Psychology in the doctoral program of the Department of Psychology at Stanford University from which I was granted a leave of absence for military service.
I am a Vietnam veteran having completed four years of sea and shore duty as a Navy line officer. I then earned an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in Finance and Information Technology.
Most recently, I completed three years of full-time graduate study in applied psychology and counseling theory and practice. In May, 2004, I was inducted into Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology. I have been granted Associate Membership in the American Psychological Association.
For fiscal 2005/6 and 2006/7 I was a member of the Public Awareness and Support Committee of the American Counseling Association. During 2005/6, I also chaired and revitalized the parallel committee of the Connecticut Counseling Association.
I am a life member of the Fellows of the Phi Beta Kappa Society which provides support to local Phi Beta Kappa chapters throughout the United States.
